Hmmm last night it was the whole window lmfao.
Ok, I have found the leak guys. Few days ago. I have noticed a odd stain right next to sun visor. Didn't think much of it. Yesterday it was raining all day. I was off roading and I don't know why, but I went to touch the area where I saw the stain. And boom... WET! ****!!!!! Driver side was a lot more wet than the passenger. Passenger wasn't even wet till i was parked on a decline in the woods. So I quickly poped the o-poop handle on my side and removed the trim along with the sun visor. Water was like dripping bad. I was on a slight incline. I checked around the windshield from the inside and its not the windshield. I am aiming towards the sunroof leaking. My sun roof drains are clear. I have checked that not to long ago. My truck is 97 and has that weird seal where it has a small gap around the sunroof window. Here are some photos. has anyone experienced this leak? And what have you done to fix it? Have you fixed it? Is there a OEM seal replacement for the sunroof?

I never got that much water in the headliner. Most often I got water dripping on the center console and near the rear view mirror. It looks to me like you have more going on than just the "crack/gap" in the sunroof surround. I hate to suggest you pull the headliner (as it's a lot of work) but I think you'll get a much better idea of what's going on when you can actually inspect all the connections. With that said, maybe as a next step you could pull the sunroof and seal that "crack/gap" like I did - I have been dry since doing so.

Yeah I’ll do that. Pull the headliner. Also, I just noticed it’s wet under the carpet. Under the feet. Looks like water drips into the headliner, and some drips down the pillar into the carpet. Only explanation.

Pull the head liner. It a little work but not that bad. Close the sun roof doors and windows, sit in the car, tape up the gaps in sunroof with duct tape so you are sure no water goes in there until you want it to..have a buddy use a garden hose without a nozzle, you want to be able to control where the water goes.. have him start in one corner of the roof and move slowly across the top of windshield. If that’s good, THEN move to sunroof, remove tape and do the same thing..this is really the only way to do it properly. I’ve had cars leak on one side of the vehicle, but the water would follow a wire or hose and not drip till it got to the other side. My guess is you have a leak around the windshield.

Good advice. I’ll definitely do that. Thank you. I’m really aiming towards the sunroof. Just looked wet up there. Going to do these few tests and than I’ll report back with some photos and more info. I appreciate everyone’s help.

Just to be clear, put the duct tape on the outside, over the gaps around it and the roof..i re read my post, makes it sound like I meant to put tape on inside.

I has a similar problem with my Subaru, couldn't seem to shake the wet dog smell until mid summer, but in addition to leaking from the windshield the condensate line from the AC was clogged and would overflow to the padding under the passengers feet. I was able to snake it and vacuum out a bunch of pine needles and other gunk, then flush some clean water/simple green in and wash it and the smell out. The photos are from a Subaru, left of the glove box, and under the stereo.

Looks to me, like the actual sunroof seal is bad and the whole sunroof needs to be removed and resealed. Im not sure if there is a rubber gasket that goes around the actual whole frame. Like between the roof body and the sunroof frame.

Copper lines?? No idea.. there absolutely is some sort of gasket on the sunroof to help seal it when closed.
Open the sunroof, and let water go in the channel/track that the gasket would go in.. make sure it’s not leaking and that it is draining properly.. turn the hose on very low when you try this..

Also, take the hose clamps of these on both sides and blow them out with an air compressor to make sure they are not clogged

The channel that is in the roof will have a 1/4 inch or so lip on it.. there probably is a gasket on that. However, unless water gets higher than that it shouldn’t be an issue...but water could definitely splash over that if the gasket is bad. But you need to check that the channel itself does not have a leak and it is draining properly,not causing it to flow over the top of the lip.
That being said, it is quite a process removing the sunroof to replace the gaskets.. there is also one on the sunroof itself I’m guessing.. I have not had to replace on on a 3rd gen, but have done many on other types of vehicles.. and it is a pain, but can be done. I recommend trying to find some videos on the process.

The two front drains, I have blown air through them more than once. I watched water flow through it today when the water was being poured.

Something like this, not an exact picture of our vehicles, but all sunroofs use the same principle. I’m talking about the lowest part of the roof that goes AROUND the perimeter of the sunroof.. basically where any water would collect before it drains if you left the sunroof open...or any water that got through when it was closed. Kind of like gutters on a house.
