Before somebody admonishes me to search the forum, be advised I already have and no one has addressed this problem.
After running the ac for several hours on a road trip, I noticed water on the passenger side floor mat. When I arrived home I checked the ac drain hose to see if it was draining, and sure enough, it was dripping steadily away. I decided to make sure there was no blockage, so I used the air hose to blow some air into it, and it seemed clear. I also ran a wire up through the hose and encountered no blockage or debris.
The next was the same story. Water on the floor mat. I removed the plastic trim under the glove box to access the hose and saw the hose was out of the plastic snap that routes it around a corner and out thought the firewall. The hose was wet, and dripping, as if from condensation, but there were no holes or splits in it. The hose is in good shape and appears securely attached. I wondered that since was out of the snap that routed it closer to the firewall—probably a result of the dash replacement done in May—perhaps the air temperature hitting the cold hose was causing condensation.
Today, the same damn thing happened. Over the course of a four hour road trip, water ran onto the passenger side floor mat.
I'm stumped. Again I checked the drain and water was running merrily onto the ground.
What gives? And what can I check next?
