cone filter replacement

will a 3 inch KN cone filter and short section of intake tubing work if the air box was removed?

i could not find any "true" cold air intakes for the 4runner.. 400 seems pretty steep for a short ram even if trd and KN calls it "cold air"

i came from a s2000 and evo x so cold air means out side of engine compartment

Your 4Runner already comes stock with a true CAI. It sucks cold fresh air from the right fender which IS outside of the engine compartment.
