Connector??

Can someone tell me what this connector on the passenger side engine bay is for?? There's presently nothing connected to it.

You'd have to zoom out so I can tell exactly where the connector is. I know for sure that there is a 1 wire connector located over the passenger wheel that is for the security system horn. It only exists in cars with the factory alarm installed (not aftermarket, RS3200, nor port installed systems).

The connector is actually right above the wheel well. It's not for the factory alarm b/c I have the factory alarm installed.

as you didn't specify, I looked at mine...I'd say the passenger wheel well, just behind the engine air filter box. Looks like a brown wire w/ a black stripe. Rando's right. Looks like a horn or something. Looking in the wiring diagrams, the only connector listed in that location is labeled the "Theft Deterrent Horn", so....

Interesting... I took a look inside the engine bay again and I found two horns right in the front behond the grill. Is this where they possible stuck the Horn for the alarm then?

nah. you should have two horns there...they are tuned to different pitches to make your car horn more obnoxious. it is possible that they spliced in there, tho or it's somewhere else...

real easy way to find out...open the hood of your truck, stick in ear plugs, and hit the panic button and see where the sound is coming from! Depending upon where you do that, you might get some strange looks or people coming up checking on you. I suggest either a dark alley or the police station parking lot. (j/k)

Should I worry about have the terminals to the plug exposed like they currently are? You would think they would have put a plug on that to cover it.

IIRC, that terminal (not plural) is connected to a dead circuit. It's never powered because you don't have the alarm system that uses that horn. There is nothing to worry about.
