Has anyone installed a rear gun vault / drawer system, like from Truck Vault?

I think you need this part number 00016-89199 or 00016-86184. I don't know what the difference is between model years in terms of the console though and there seems to be an overlap in coverage between both parts. if you look at locker'down they fit all 5th gen 4runners so it's a bit confusing to me what's going on here

dont think there is a difference b/w the years in console. The link you posted is what the one I saw on FB marketplace but its a 3rd party sell said. If I can picked it up at $75 it might be good buy. Leaning towards one without a key and just a combo.

that's the version I have from lockerdown. the key is a nice feature but really it's a pain to have to get the key out everytime to open the safe

Yeah I rethought the key one, I was looking at OEM one with key but decided against it. One Im checking out is the locker down with 4 digital combo at $100 , new unused

honestly for $100 why not give it a shot. up here those are almost $500 and that's on amazon prime

Locker down safe 4 digit combo arrived and installed!

I purchased it off FB marketplace yesterday and paid via pay pal goods to offer protection. I'm usually skeptical on FB market with shipping, seller did have positive rating of 20 plus and did quick search on him. It arrived within 24 hours , came today via UPS. It was packaged in original box. It was never opened and seller included some Allla S-HCR LED H11+9005 bulb combo kit. arty:

Locker down safe is a solid safe and well made. Install is very simple , clean out the console and remove two bolts below the padding. Drop in the safe, put two bolts in place and tighten. Took maybe 5 minutes to install it. Would like to find a divider piece for the upper portion, may trim old one or do something else.

ya it's a good product. I don't know if yours came with a foam or rubber pieces to put on the bottom. I cut some workbench drawer silicone/rubbery liner and put it on the bottom of the safe. keeps things from sliding around and making noise down there

yes it has a rubber piece that went on the bottom to cover up the bolts. Would like to find something for the upper portion (divider) where the charging port is. Another thought is that charging port I have dual usb plugged into which gives off some light, could use more light though.
