Consolidated Slider Info Thread

Looks like SSO had the cheapest sliders with a kick out and partial top plate at $499 but now the price is $599. What's the next cheapest one that has a kick out and partial top plate?

Just installed c4 fabs after getting them powder coated. Loving the textured black, and awesome fitment. Solid!!

Can someone fix the links for the BudBuilt Sliders? I almost didn't think they existed because the links are broken, and IMO are some of the best looking ones.

RSG Sliders

I got the RSG Angled, top plate, black powder coat. Ordered on a Saturday, shipped on Monday, arrived Thursday, installed on Friday. Very solid, of course, haven't bashed them on rocks yet, but look like they will hold up very well. Really like them and I paid full price, even nicer if you can snag for $100 off, plus no waiting.

In regards to a "step", these seem to work just fine for our purposes. My wife uses them as a step and has now been in and out of the truck many times, gives them a big thumbs up. Rear kick out makes a great place to stand while reaching the top/roof rack.

New guy here looking for help. Bought an '18 SR5+ and am looking for steps/door ding protectors (I won't be off-roading in anything other then sand/class VI roads) and have done a lot of research.

Am I correct that the cheapest "real" sliders/steps are ~$600? I've seen the Tyger ones here (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LZT0R19/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8) for $300, which might fit the bill, but it looks like they attach to the body, not the frame.

Thanks, all!

Very happy with the RSG sliders. Mainly due to the 4 leg design, and are usable as a step.

Ive got the angled, top plate, and kick out. Tested them out last weekend with zero issues and even the powder coat is tough.

Anyone with an early gen 2010-2013 SR5/Limited that has sliders with the original untrimmed rocker panels? I sure would like to see some pics please of your installed sliders and rockers with the chrome strip. Thanks

If it matters I’m leaning towards MetalTech, RockyRoad, or White Knuckle.

What are the better available slider options for wanting it to double as a step/door ding protection?

My wife is 5' even and I have 2 young kids who will eventually be getting in themselves so I figured if I am going to get sliders I might as well get ones that stick out well to double as steps and door protection. Some people want them angled up and tucked in as nice as possible so trying to avoid that type of slider and go with something better for me, thanks!

I've heard the opposite. Sliders that stick out further will protect others from door dinging.

Bump to see if anyone has opinions on which is the better options for sliders that double as steps and stuck out far enough!

Any slider that sticks out even a little will stop people from opening their front door into your car. Rare doors have more clearance due to the rare wheel cut out, a lift can help with that. I still believe in parking wisely.
