Contura II Rocker Switches?

It's typically more expensive but I almost always go to west marine. They have everything I need on hand, the staff is knowledgable, it's marine grade so typically everything is corrosion resistant and I don't have to wait on the ups guy.

I was surprised to see they actually do have a momentary-on/off/ momentary-on switch in stock but 3 times the price as OTRATTW.
If I'm in a pinch and need that switch for my rear window motor then I'll order from west marine after checking with OTRATTW.
Most everything else is within a dollar or 2 of other places I've checked.

Cutting the plastic isn't all that bad....
So i am going to be in the need of mounting a couple of clusters of switches:
Compressor, Front Locker, Rear Locker, Drive Lights, Reverse Lights, and 1 for future expansion. So i am in need of a (2) 3 panel clusters very similar to what you have posted. Who makes the one you have and where did you pick it up? All I have found are larger cluster units 6+ or they are specifically made for a certain type of vehicle, mostly landcruisers or Jeeps.....All I have found is this modular set up from wayteckwire.com:

I got the 3 switch panel from OTRATTW as well. They also sell a 6 switch one. I have a friend with a 1st gen taco (interior the same) that has the 6 switch panel underneath his cd player. There is a member on here, I can't remember who, that cut out a spot like I did for mine as well as cut out a spot for another 3 switch panel above it, where the other 2 switches are. It's possible. Just have to be careful with the Dremel.

I also just noticed they make a single snap/slide style switch holder to allow for a custom ammount. Just buy 2 ends and however many centers you need or want.

Thanks for the info. I may look into the 6 cluster under the receiver, or do a couple of 3 clusters on the driver side panel.

BigRogers I have been thinking about were i would put more switch...like in your case... I was going to make a witch cluster/panel and mount it right next to the parking bake were there is that big cubby hole thing witch just collects trash! I was thinking of making it out of metel, make it so it covers that hole completely and then putt all your switch in the metel piece(i was going to pant it black so it blends in)and just cut the back open so you can get all the wires in!

I wouldn't suggest that spot. It seems like it would be pretty vulnerable to accidentally engaging or disengaging a switch by nudging it. Ever since I've owned my 4Runner, the only thing I've used that spot for was my wallet.
You want your switches far enough away to where you can't accidentally hit it but not too far it's an inconvenience to use it. Just my .02
All this switch talk got me wanting new switches since OTRATTW started making custom laser etched rockers. I just ordered 4 new rockers and a switch body for my led light bar. Damn you T4R!!

I have half of the things I need and everything else is ordered waiting for things to be back in stock. The red/red switches have another week before they are ready from OTRATTW but I think most other colors are ready to go now.

Daaaang...OTRATTW is about 1/4 the cost for these switches. I think I may have to copy you guys and buy that 3 switch housing when I need that many switches going at once...

Yeah OTRATTW is definitely the way to go. I got all my switches and cutouts from them and I have nothing but good things to say.

Install looks great. Thanks for sharing. I was curious if the 3 panel would fit in the upper location. I think that is the route I will be going as well!

I love the look of the Contura V's so I'm definitely considering it, but @ over $100 for 6 switches, I would have to sell the Contura II's to make it worth it in my mind.

$100?? You're on crack! You only need the rockers, not the bodies. The rockers are what make the different series names, not the bodies. All the bodies and rockers are made by carling tech. Contura is just a series of rockers and I believe all contura rockers, from I to V series, work on the bodies. I recently ordered contura V rockers for my switches exactly like yours. I'll let you know if they work. From what OTRATTW told me, the should.

From what I understand you are right. You should be able to replace the rockers and keep the switches. They are $5 each for the new rockers

Hahaha quite possibly but hear me out...You are correct in that the rockers and bodies for the Contura II and Contura V are interchangeable (as far as I know).
However, when I bought the Contura IIs, I bought the bodies with incandescent lights since the rocker itself provides the blue color. So, if I upgrade to Contura Vs and just replaced the rockers, the lights on the switches will just be white and I bought the blue switches to match my blue LED swap so just swapping the rockers would completely defeat that purpose. So, if I upgrade to the Contura Vs I would buy the rockers and new bodies with blue LED upper and lower lights so everything still matches, thus the $100 price tag. Does that make sense or do I need to put the pipe down for good?
