Coolant Leak 2004 V8

My 2 Week new to me 2008 4runner V8 has been parked for the last week while I've fought with the dealership that is 200 miles away I bought it off of in regards to a 4WD issue.

I noticed yesterday a small wet spot of fluid under the vehicle. Slid under the vehicle this morning and found coolant dripping off the transmission. Followed the leak to the top of the engine.

The first pic shows a small pool of coolant in a dimple at the rear of the engine. I could find any wet hoses in the area.

The second picture just gives you an idea as to where the first picture was taken.

Any ideas?

My best guess is the heater hose shown in your first photo is leaking, have you tried to tighten the clamp?

If I remember right there's a crossover tube back there for the coolant circuit. That might be seeping coolant.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to keep an eye on it. It can't be a head gasket right? I'm not nearly educated enough in engines, but I believe it's location is too high to be that.

Not, it's a bit too high for that as usually they leak on the downward side of the gasket, not the uphill side. It's probably the crossover tube gasket, that bulge north of the coolant puddle in the picture if the edge of the crossover tube if I remember right.
