Coolant Leak help

So I think I have found the source of the coolant leak Ive been dealing with. Can someone tell me what part this is? In the picture it looks like its coming from what looks like a plug to the left of the oil filter. Its the second one from the filter with black stuff around it.
Engine is the 3.4 5VZ. Thanks in advance.

Hard to tell, are you sure its not leaking from the hose above and running down onto this?

Have you fully cleaned the area, driven and checked to determine that is actually where it is leaking from?

My guess would be from the water pump, either from the gasket or the weep hole if indeed it is coolant. Also take a look at the thermostat housing.

If coolant was coming out of the port plug off the block you would have some serious problems.

I have driven on it and truck seems to run fine. This is my daily driver and I check for leaks after stop.. There is only a leak about half the time. I found the leak by squeazing the top radiator hose and immediately noticed the leak coming from that plug.

Well there must be a gasket for that plug. I would pull it and check, maybe its as easy as replacing the gasket if your not noticing anything else going on due to the leak.
