Coolant Temps After Water Pump Change

The funny thing about the jigger valve is that with engine off its relaxed and with engine running the valve pushes against the hole blocking it off.

So, to me, being there at all on the bottom of the engine.......rather than on the top.......its there to prevent heat soak when the engine is hot off. Not burp air.

Ok well this weekend I was able to rotate the thermostat and I also changed over to the Toyota red coolant. According my Scangauge unit my temps have dropped back down to around 190. Thanks for all of the advice on the jiggle valve, don't know how the wrong information got spread around but hopefully one day everyone will get the right info.
