What's been your experience with them? Best deal I've found is discounttiredirect at $160 a tire with 110 in rebates. Tread depot has them for 133 a tire but shipping is 85 to me.

Anyone see any other good prices?

Love mine. 265/70r17 Took very little weight to balance. Rides very smooth and quiet. Wet and Dry traction is just fantastic. Off road they are tough as nails hold up great to some sharp rocks and terrain. Ill buy another set.

Thanks for the replies I'm pretty much sold on them. did you guys go with the SUV tires or the light truck tires. I noticed that the lt tires have a tread depth of 16/32 vs the SUV tires which have 13/32.

Maybe it wouldn't make much of a difference

Had a set on my Dakota that I traded for my 4R and thats the only regret I had was leaving them babies behind. 1st chance I get there will some on the Toy :nod:

What psi are you running these tires at? As per t4r door label, the recommended pressure for our 4runners is 32 psi. At the same time this is an "aftermarket" tire that might have it's own recommended specs. What numbers should I be looking for?

I'm running mine at 36 psi cold, purely for fuel economy. I normally don't run that much pressure but I'm on a tight budget at the moment and every tenth of a MPG counts.

Technically when you go up in size you can go down in PSI because there's more volume of air in the tire.

I went from 265/60-18 to 265/65-17, so the wheel size stayed the same. Although, yes, there is more air volume in 17" tire when the outer diameter of both 17" and 18" tires is the same. On the other hand T4R owners manual says that 32psi is recommended for both OEM sizes (265/60-18 and 265/65-17). But this is for the factory tire.

I am more concerned about how to calculate psi for aftermarket tires. If the max load and max psi as well as [max load / max psi] ratio of an aftermarket tire is different from the factory tire, then the recommended PSI on the aftermarket tire, should be different (for an even wear and better handling).

This is how I see it... But I may be wrong..

Tirerack , discount , national tire warehouse , and just take your current tpms off old wheels & get the packet from dealer , has new o-rings , tell em go easy when taking off should be re-useable !

They were nice but had 47K miles on them, probably could have made it through this winter no problem. The road noise was getting kind of bad on the highway. After much research I decided to go with Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT265 70R17. Just got home, and I am shocked how smooth and quiet these tires are. Can't wait to get them off road and in the snow and test them out. Also have to get on the Expressway. I will post thoughts after I've played.

I had the chance to try them out right after a snowstorm that happened overnight. I had to drive to a friend of mine this last Saturday, early in the morning. 20-25 cm of fresh snow on the roads, and no tracks whatsoever.

I am so impressed!!! On the other hand, I've never had a chance to drive a 4x4 in such conditions, but, wow... I am so impressed with how the truck and the tires perform! I am very glad I chose these tires. And yes, they are sooo smooth and quiet!

I finally found my set locally and had them installed last week on my '09 Limited with 265/60R18's. Installed price ended up being cheaper then I could get them shipped without installation.

This past weekend I went up into the mountains to play a bit and ran into about 8 inches of snow, these tires didn't flinch even the slightest. Just as quiet at the Michelin tires they replaced but they seem to "feel" much better.

My only regret is not going up a size as now I'm considering a lift...

So far so good with these AT3's. Can't believe how great my TE handles with them. Very smooth and quiet, wet weather great. Have not been off road yet or in snow , but soon. Two things I have noticed are my truck seems like it rides higher now, two I think my MPG is down like 1.5. Will keep an eye on that.
