CoPart? Anyone bought from them?

So, copart.com seems to have an abundance of good rigs for sale. Of course they are wrecked, salvaged, insurance claims, etc.

Anyone on T4R.org ever bought something from copart? If so, how was the experience and do you have any insight to offer our T4R.org community?

I’ve bought 2, a parts car for my brothers Jetta and a smart car to turn into a go cart. Up here they let you go and look as them first

I bought from they 4runner with SC ... remove goodies and re-sell truck. At the end my SC cost me almost free ( just cost of new oil, coupler, seal and v-belt).
You have to go thru body shop to buy cars from copart.com

I’ve had multiple cars from copart and currently in the process of rebuilding a 3rd gen with 75k miles. You can save a lot of money if you can do the work yourself.

Were you able to buy from CoPart as an individual or did you have to use a broker or be a dealer (with a dealer license)? I am somewhat confused as to how Copart works if you are an individual. If it helps, the vehicle I am looking at is listed as "PURE SALE"..... Thanks for any insight, help or advice!

Different states have different policies, here in CA you need to have a license and I’m fortunate enough to have a friend who has one.
