Cops??????? Really????

had a drunk off duty cop piss on my tire and then drive away!!!!!! f--kin pissed! thats all i have to say.:police::wtf::thanks:

wow that sucks. citizens arrest lol. :ak472: The F up part about it is you can't do sh!t about it because he's a cop.
 
That was my question, how do you know he is a cop? Anyway, if he is and you know the department he works for, file a complaint on him - no he won't get away with it because he is a cop, he will only get away with it if you don't report it. Even when cops are off-duty, they are held to a higher standard than civilians. Unfortunately many of them think they are above the law and do crap like that and make the larger majority of cops look bad.
 
long story short, i didnt realize he was a cop or that he was pissing on my tire until he and his buddy pulled away. then i realized what had happened. when i saw the truck pull back into the bar later on is when i got a good look at the guys and figured out that i knew them (we konw the same people) and that they were cops.

the only downside to reporting them is that next time im out theres nothing stopping them from pulling me for some bs reason cause their mad.

Your last sentence is a good point and one to consider - that is another unfortunate part of bad cops.
 
Ya and its not like ur runner isnt a noticeable one! Its definitely diff the any of the other runners on here so im sure its easy for them to find u.
 
well, im looking at a few different solutions. if i report him, most likely its gonna be a slap on the wrist. if i catch him off duty again............. if he's gonna pull me for no reason because he's pissed off, then im gonna give him a damn good reason to be pissed off!:boxer:
 
first i want to apologize for this this law enforcement officer for his behavior...
second those of you that thinks cops are gay, pigs, and better than everyone you are completey wrong...dont judge everyone of us because of one dumbass...if you truly feel that way dont bother calling for help when you need something...yes we are held to a higher standard i get that but we are also humans like everyone else...so we also make mistakes....

if it bothers you that much then file a complaint with the department...depending on their policy you may have to give your information...even if its not a formal complaint just let them know what happened....

just keep this in mind...have you ever done this or anyone you know have done this before..would you want someone calling your employer and telling your boss about something that had nothing to do with your job..just something to think about
 
Eh the one bad apple notion doesn't apply for officers. There are lots of shady members of the police force regardless of region. I've had my run ins with them and thankfully I've been taking law courses where I get exhausting amounts of info about our OCGA, now I know exactly what they're doing wrong. I started as unbiased towards officers but with a sound mind I don't think highly of them anymore.

My advice? Confront him, file a complaint with the department. YOU as an American are covered under the law, the officer is a mere agent of that law and must be obedient under it just as you must. Bring a video camera with you in your truck, I'd personally LOVE for the same officer to pull me over. Find a good spot in the back seat when getting pulled hit record and see if he digs himself a hole.

Bottom line is all those who complain about law enforcement and they're illegal and immoral practices stop preaching to the choir and educate yourself. All the time spent on forums complaining could be better used on Lexis Nexis and other databases to find all you need. Take this sucker head on, with the proper knowledge you can beat him, from what you said he sounds like an imbecile so have fun with it!

I'm guessing you're a cop, which amazes me....I have to pick on you a little bit because you seem to be advocating something I disagree with. How would you say an officer, who specializes in regulating drunk drivers and related violations (if you'll recall 2 charges of peeing in publics is not only a major offense but also lands you on the sex offenders list), and the above actions has nothing to do with his job? I don't even want to drill you anymore but you're as wrong as can be right here buddy.

this argument could go on till the end of time but life is way to short for that..im reminded of this everyday i go to work..

i was not there when this happened and every situation and circumstance is different..this is not a major offense in every state...urinating on private property in public view would be a misdemeanor offense in my state..is what they did wrong? yes of course it is...does everyone that does this go to jail or get a citation no....

i did not mean "nothing to do with thier jobs"..i guess that was taken out of context...i meant that they were not on duty, at least i hope not, and that they were not performing in any law enforcement capacity at that time...

i said file a complaint with the department if he thinks he should...i would not worry about the officers trying to get back at him..imo
 
What's the saying... "A cop is always on duty". The higher standard that cops are supposed to live by applies at all times, that's part of the committment to being an officer. It's not the same thing if a McDonalds employee gets drunk and does something stupid like that, but then again he's not making decisions that change people's lives on a daily (or hourly) basis. And since he flips burgers for a living, it really has nothing to do with his job. But, an officer's main job is to be a public servant/social worker and doing things like pissing on someone's car in in public does have a lot to do with his job, since his job is to make sure that kind of stuff doesn't happen or go unpunished.

I see it like this: "You can't have your cake and eat it too". If you're gonna be a cop, you need to accept that if you are going to hold others accountable for their actions, you have to make a good example of yourself and remain accountable for your own actions. Demeaux, I'm sure that you are a good cop and wouldn't do something like this, but to say it doesn't have anything to do with their job, I don't agree. That is their job whether they're "clocked in" or not. You (not meaning you personally) don't get to pick and choose when you represent society, and if you think you do, you shouldn't be wearing a badge.
 
I'd report him as well. Anything that happens after reporting, like a rise in tickets, would easily be won in court with a lawyer due to conflict of interest. I have 4 friends that are officers and they wouldn't stand for this sort of jackassery on the force.

Called for some help and the cop showed up like 30-45 min later yawning like I woke him up. Sat in his car for several minutes before getting out. Also, Everyday I drive down I-85 (busy interstate) bout 40 miles one way. I almost get killed by these rockets going 100 MPH everyday. No troopers out ever. Then on one day you will see every cop in the state pulling people over on a 10 mile stretch. Next day, back to same ol death trap. What a waste of time and money. People doing anything they want out there. Why not have at least one trooper always patroling back and forth down these high traffic roads to at least scare poeple. One cop every 20-30 miles would help way more and would save many lives. I dont feel safe at all these days.

man most, are just doing their jobs and what they are told to do, the guy that's pulling you over isn't the one saying in the morning to run speed traps all day long those come a bit higher up, it's just a machine, same goes with city construction workers it's not like the workers make the decisions were it takes 10 guys to change a street sign, that happens due to safety laws and all of the rest, i'm sure the project manger would love to tell his boss that he saved 50K on his project by using less guys.
 
That sucks that happened to your truck! I would definitely file a complaint and if he comes after you that's considered harassment. I do agree that there are some bad eggs in the system but aren't they in everything? I have run into my fair share of a-holes with the sapd but one of my friends is an sapd cop and is very professional. All I gotta say is that your handling the situation better than me.
