Corner/Gauge Lights on in Drive

I have an '01 that is having some electrical problems. When my runner is in drive, the front corner lights and my gauge faces light up dimmly. I narrowed it down to the "gauge" circuit. I pulled the cluster out and pulled the light that illuminates the "D" on the PRND2L in the cluster and the problem stopped. There has to be a short somewhere, any ideas on where to look? Does this sound like a short in the cluster or somewhere else? Maybe at the shifter?
