Correct windshield wipers

Hello, I am planning to upgrade my wipers to Bosch Icon 17’’ and I heard that there is a type “B” wiper that is more curvy that type A. Type A I heard can be used for both passenger and driver sides but would a type B blade for the passenger side be better for a 3rd gen? Thank you

Just wanted to let you know that all those high end wipers are generally garbage. I finally chose denso wipers sold on rock auto and each was like $3. Believe me those are really good and no issues so far.

i too have the denso blades and they are way better than bosch etc. they even have some good "weight" to them

I bought the Toyota OEM ones at the dealer---strangely, not expensive---and they are fine. I reject the ones that ditch the metal blade support mechanism for a solid flexible plastic blade assembly. Plastic is not fantastic.

ive always recommended oem wiper inserts over aftermarket options and a windshield treatment like a ceramic coat every year. I live in rainy pacific northwest and this is the way it should be haha.

the only thing that sucks is when your metal wipers freeze in winter =X

Coated all windows and headlights. this is the result of the coating about 3 months after application

It sheets water and leaves the glass dry.

Coated with CQUK and topped with Carpro Reload which is safe on rubber and blades.

Having a clean windshield is a must also. Take a razor blade and smooth the surface of contaminants and you'll feel the difference!

I dont like rainx. it doesn't last long and leaves the glass "oily?" i can't describe it but you'll be re applying that junk over and over.

with ceramic you'll probably need to do it once a year since the blade on windshield action rubs it off over time. funny thing is i dont use the wipers much on the freeway =) also, top it off with Carpro reload.

You'll find more uses when u buy a bottle of ceramic. Glass, wheels, headlights, tail lights. i haven't and probably won't use it on paint work since it would require me to do a full paint correction and i sorta like the old school waxing action.

I use OEM ones myself, I have had the best sucess with those blades on all my toyotas

The original wiper blades are NWB. That is what the old PN is. That new part number is China crap. No better than what you get from walmart. No point in OEM for me if they are gonna sell me the "made for America" crap. Those Denso blades looked like a steal until I realized Rock Auto charges shipping. I keep it simple. $5.99 Michelin Blades from walmart once a year. Easy to find and does the job.

Hmm.. When I bought my last 2 sets, they were oem I think mfg from Japan, I could even pull the rubber out and replace with inserts if i wished. I be sure to pay attention when I change them on my other rides. Anyways my last 2 complete sets (4 complete blades) worked great.
