Hello ok so here is the deal. I just replaced my clutch and put everything back together corectley (I believe). I went to start my car and it runs fine. the problem now is my clutch pedal will stay depressed when i engage a gear, but only while the car is started, otherwise it shifts through the gears perfectly fine. I bled the clutch and am still having difficulties getting it to pop up when i engage it. I adjusted the pedel height to the correct settings. Upon looking at the Hayne's manual i noticed that It says that there is a Clevis and cotter pins. I noticed that i do not have a "cotter" pin?? i am not sure what size on i will need or if it is what i need. I am hoping that this is the only thing left.
So what i need to know is:
1) what does the cotter pin attach to? because there is no diagrams showing this anywhere.
2) if the clevis pin holds the pushrod to the pedal, what does the cotter pin do?
3) does anyone have a picture of their cotter pin and its location in referance to to where it is attached? mine is gone and i have not been able to locate it or the area where it would attach to.
4) What size is the pin? because once again i do not have it to take in to the shop.
