Couple of electrical gremlins...help

OK, I Just got my runner. Drove it from Tampa to Atlanta with no problems, ran great. Has 138k miles, 4x4, green with tan interior. Ill get pics tomorrow for you guys. Anyway, when I rolled down the back window while driving I felt the motor stumble somewhat, like a big load was being put on the engine. When I was at a stop light it would barely roll down or up and while driving it would only put the load on it for the 1st 6 inches or so while going down in the middle it was fine and not affecting the motor. The other thing is when I push the rear defroster the left blinker signal lights up as well as the reverse light on the dash even while its in drive and it puts the same kinda load on the motor. It does have an aftermarket alarm system and the climate control lights are out as well if that might have something to do with it. Any ideas? I think its a ground but I'm an idiot...haha

this is confusing , sounds like you have serval different issues going on and not all of them are related...sooo to narrow this down.....

climate control lights, how long have they been out?
this is a common issue as the bulbs just burn out after so long, a real pita to replace and buying a new unit is out of the question for most $800

the rear window thing is another common problem, but not for sure if your having the same issue not sure what load on the engine means, like your rpm's jump up on you motor when using the back window? like the motor that drives the car and not the rear window right?

Yes,the engine that drives the car stumbles when I either roll the back window down or up but only for the first 6 inches or so. When the window is about half way down it doesn't effect the engine at all. The same thing happens when I turn the rear window defroster on, but the left blinker light and the reverse light on the dash light up. Very weird

well i would start with chasing down the rear window problem, this is another semi-common issue with out trucks, hopefully if you sort that out the rest will fall into line...
besides that get your battery and alt tested..it maybe about to die and your engine is having to kick up the revs to get the power it needs to run the motor for the rear hatch.

besides that i can't really think of anything else besides what you said in your original post and you just have a wire grounding out somewhere.

hasn't happened to me but a common trouble spot is the harness between the liftgate and the body. Those wires flex over time and the insulation breaks down and causes shorts and opens that make all kinds of weird stuff go on. I'd take a razor blade to that harness and see what I could see, or wait until someone who has actually fixed this himself shows up.
