A while back i had tried to get some interaction between the two forums but there was no effort from their side.it was an obvious problem across the board with Toyota & Lexus in those years. I am just thrilled they are doing something about it!

Thanks to everyone that took the time to open a case and let Toyota know there was a problem. I received my letter today for my son's 2004 SR5. I recently purchased a 2003 limited and it had the cracked dash also. Looking forward to getting these replaced.

I called my Local Toyota last week and asked about it after seeing someone else get one. Got my Warranty in the mail today.

I just got off the phone with Toyota and my 2005 Sport Edition qualifies. I was told the part won't be available until May to replace it. They did give me a case number.

My wife actually owns the 2003 4Runner in our family and the dash is horrible. I've been looking for the letter in the mail every day, so imagine my surprise when I receive a letter addressed to me. It was the dash repair letter on my 2009 Avalon, which is in my name. it has no dash issues, yet. So, still looking for the 4Runner letter...Thanks to all for making this happen!

You should be able to. Call the number in the first post and give them your VIN number.

Received 2 letters yesterday, one for each owned by my children... both dash boards are in great shape though... hope to see a "frame" warranty extension...

Haven't had the issue on my 2004 for whatever reason, but good on all you guys for sticking to it and getting this issue notice by Toyota!

If mine's gonna crack I hope it does it before the warranty extension expires!

In regards to the 4Runner this only covers 2003-2005 models. This extended warranty will expire in the middle of 2017.

I would just call and give them your VIN number. You never know what will happen and at least you would have a case number.

Got my letter in the mail last week and forwarded it to the new owner - cause ya know I drive a tiny house now..............just added some rock lights!
