***Cracked Dashboard Action Request***

Been about 6 months, still waiting for the dash to come in.

My dash is in, took 3 months for the dealer to get it in. Truck goes in next week for the replacement.

So as long as there is a crack, no matter the size, you are eligible for a replacement? The reason I ask is because my dash looks pretty good for the most part, except for a small crack above the vent where the center starts to merge with the gauges.
I'm also weary of taking it to the dealer because they might do the pedal hack and software TSBs which I DON'T want done.

I wasnt going to read through all 50 pages. I just got my 4runner 3 months ago. Just noticed two cracks within the last month. How do i go about getting mine replaced or on a waiting list to replace? They aren't that noticeable but i know they will show up more in the coming summer heat.
Make an appointment at a dealer and take it in and let them look at it.
I've been on a waiting list now since October 2015. I called the dealer last week, and they said they have not done a single one yet. Seems like certain parts of the country are getting it done but not others. Mine is not bad either, but they said it will be replaced when they get the parts.

Swung by my dealer today, officially ordered a dashboard first week of January.
Dealer initially said at the time of the order I was 10-14 days until installation :der: Service manager said today estimated another 60 days from today.
RIP, guess all I can do is continue to remind them that I still want a new dashboard

Stopped by my dealer this past Monday and he said there are over 2,000 4Runner dashboards on back order, 200 of which are in my regional (midwest). He said all the other dashboards (Camry, Avalon, Sienna) are coming in.
I went in on Aug 2015 to get the go ahead for replacement, but oddly enough my dashboard wasn't ordered until Nov 2015...
Anywho, my dashboard isn't cracked that bad., but I can see it getting worst.

Update from North Houston,
Finally got into Tejas Toyota in North Houston and got my Dashboard replaced! Got my cracked evaporator core replaced while they were in there, along with the cooler valve and some of the tubing. The recall helped pay for some of the labor, so it ended up being a nice deal! It took a little while, though it looks great
How much should something like the evaporator work cost additional? I've had a strange noise in my dash for a quite a while. My AC compressor is also very noisy, but its manged to hang on for a couple years with only a couple cheap coolant recharges. I'm undecided if I should get the evap replaced when my dash finally comes in.

Dashboard was replaced Friday, no issues & it took them about 5 hours from the time it was dropped off until we picked it up.
My only gripe is that since going to the dealer about 3 months ago to set up the appointment I have gotten at least 3 unsolicited letters from the dealer about them wanting to put me in a new 4Runner.

New evaporator
I was actually considering the same thing!!
Since they're in there, it shouldn't be too much more to replace the evaporator.
Has anybody done this and has an idea of how much more this should roughly cost?

I can't remember the breakdown of the costs but it was significant to have the evaporator replaced. Since they were going to be pulling the dash to replace that we decided to go ahead and replace the dash.

so I picked up an 05 a few weeks ago, dont have any paper from the company about dash replacement. The dash isnt cracked terribly just the line across the gauge cluster and a spot near the passenger side. Is my next step to just take it to a local Toyota dealer and see what they have to say?
