Thanks guys, I appreciate all of this input. And to all of you midwest/east coast people, it's nothing personal, but I tend to avoid listings from those areas. Not all of them, but a good majority have serious rust issues that you would never be able to tell from the CL photos.

The CarFax indicates the 4Runner was in PA for the first 9 years. That may weigh more than the reported accident, based on your desire for a rust-free vehicle. I looked at 4-5 4runners from the north (NY, NJ, PA) prior to buying mine. Most had more rust than I wanted, so I waited for a better TR4.

Plus it was a corporate vehicle. IMO, that means the person(s) who used that vehicle didn't have much 'invested' in it like those of us on this forum so didn't take care of it.

I totally missed that!!! I was so zeroed in on the damage part, that I didn't bother to see the report as a whole. Great catch, so I will definitely be passing on this one.

Sigh. One day my 4Runner will come...
