Craigslist help: Did Thule ever make these?

Found this on craigslist, have it at a good price (I think.. $75 + $36 in gas to get it). But I'm not sure Thule ever made this product, and I'm not sure ill be able to open the trunk with it either. It is ten inches from tube start, to the point underneath the upmost bar. then 11 inches from 2 inch tube to the top of the rack above. (I can't exactly tell how far out it is from where it will exit the tube to the point under the top bar.)

Anyways, what do you guys think on this? Is it worth the cost and risk for a hunting tool, an expedition's cargo addition?

PS. its 5 feet wide and 2 feet deep on the rack surface.

I can definitely see Thule making something like this. As for fitment, I dont know how the rear tailgate would clearance a cargo carrier like that. It might just be worth the gas to drive out there, test fit it, and try to talk him down. Its obviously old and has quite a bit of rust. Hope this helps.

I thought that too until i looked for one to check dimensions with and see how it works with others.

And i don't know, thats not chump change for me considering the time being spent to do this. Tomorrow I may get a more precise set of measurements from the hitch pin hole or something, so i can really hone in. But, anyone else? tomorrow is my last day of summer to make this drive.
 
I have one *like* this. It works great. It's not as fancy as the one you have but I paid like 60 bucks for it brand new off of Amazon. If you want a link to it I can send it to you. It's not as pretty but it'll still do the job. Hauled a deer out for me...
 
I have one that I bought at Harbor Freight about 2 years ago. It pretty much stays on my truck now that I moved to a condo and have no storage. My lift gate opens fine with it on there. I've used it to carry about 100 lbs of work tools around. Haven't had a single problem with it! It's only $40. Here it is: 150 Lb. Capacity ATV Cargo Carrier

You can see mine here with the tool box. I bought new BFGoodrich All-Terrains a couple of weeks ago...that's why it's missing its shoes! That cargo box is loaded down with tools!

This thread came at a great time. We were just planning our next trip to Florida and thinking about renting a small trailer. Now I'm just gonna snag one of those Harbor Freight ones.


And X2 on the photot accounts...weed plants and lady in undies...someones gonna get introuble one way or another!
 
yea he is got a nice system setup for growing those things in his basement...

incubator lights...irrigation barrels...plots...man he has a farm in his basement...i wonder if someone here see's it and turns in his account over to the cops...thats more than just some simple dealing...that dude is a manufacturer and a dealer...

but i dont really rat on people...so i dont care...he has some nice bikes too

or he could live in WA or CA and be 100% legit.....we just don't know...i'm just trying to give a heads up to you guys, i can care less what happens to this fool. i know we have a bunch of LEO's on here so anything is possible, personally if it's not in my face and your not all high crashing into things or stealing stuff idgaf and why should i......but i digress....i missed the women, gotta go back for that one...:reddance:
