Craked Dash Ordered....1 Year Wait???

I ordered my "new dashboard" several months ago and I was told that it can take up to a year to get it in? The dealership said they already had one on order for another 4Runner and its been over 1 year. I know this is not an emergency type repair, but what avenues do I have in terms of raising this up to the local Toyota Rep that would handle my area here in Virginia? Not sure of the process. Thank you for your help!

There's a "sticky" about this issue. But for me, I'm just glad they're doing it, even if I had to wait 2 years. If you read through the beginning pages of the sticky, you might be too.

Call other local toyota dealerships and see if they have the dash on-site and ready to replace. If they do, say deuces to the dealership that made you wait a freaking year. I only went through my local dealership because the recall announcement just took place and I was not in any rush in having it done. They called me about 3weeks later saying it arrived and asked to schedule an appointment.

However if you're planning a vacation anytime soon in Virginia Beach, feel free to stop by Charles Barker Toyota where I had mine done!

Mine took 8 months to get in... I thought about calling other dealers to try and get it faster but I didn't want to seem ungrateful for them replacing my 12 year old car's dash for free. I'd be very surprised if you find a dealer that has one in stock or that can get it faster. Just be patient and in time they will get ya :sadwave:

Exactly one year wait on mine. Just installed yesterday. All good now. I worked with several Toyota dealers to get the faster. No luck. And I worked for the dealer that did mine. It's luck of the draw when you get it. Everybody is waiting.
