Crashed my baby. Totaled?

I wouldn't go backward lol. From very capable 4Runner to decently capable xterra with no ground clearance

Is your 4runner supercharged? I own both Xterra and 4runner. Stock Xterra is very capable, especially Pro 4X with rear locking diff. 3rd gen 4runner lacks power but still very capable off road vehicle.

Check out some builds on thenewx.org...

Oh I have seen them. Coming from the 2011 xterra I do know what they're capable of but damn it takes too much money to get those fat bellies off the ground. Ground clearance is very poor. I did trails in the 4Runner that I always hit my skids on in the xterra. I hit frame ONCE the whole time in the 4Runner and I usually hit frame on every trail in the xterra.

Sure the 3rd gen 4Runner is low on power but it has good hearing (4.3) so it makes up for it off road. The xterra is good on power but gearing is too high (3.13-3.56 for the 2005+)

I wouldn't even bother getting insurance involved if it were mine, that damage is all just bolt on parts and possibly a small amount of damage to the corner of the inner fender/core support.

I felt bad about the parked car I hit and destroyed. The back window exploded and the trunk was open and mangled. I have it on dash cam. The girl who crossed the center line causing the crash only stuck around for 5min.

If I hit a rock or pole I wouldn't have insurance involved.

Here she is before... Had less than a year 150k miles, finishing maintenance phase, about to start on armor.New Fox and toytech suspension. Running Boards on until bigger tires 2000 Limited with locker.

Mine was just totaled. I bought it back. Insurance said it was $6500 in damage and paid me $9000 for it.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Im thinking the insurance company of the person who cut you off, should be paying for the damage. Also I would think twice about cutting off the ABS system. I know people don't like it but it saves more than it causes.

Sorry for your loss but I don't get it. the damage was less than the payout so why total it? That doesn't make much sense. Either you accidentally switched numbers around or they probably didn't total it. I would double check if I were you

No I didnt switch the numbers around. State Farm totaled it. That's how I bought it back. They paid me $9000 and I bought it back for $1000. In Tennessee anything more than 10 years old it only takes 60% to total it. And since it's more than 10 yrs old Tennessee doesn't make it have a salvage title.
