crazy problem! HELP! 1997 SR5

1997 v6 175,000k It starts every time, unless it is off for 45 min. When you try and start it it will just keep turning over but wont fire. 20 min later it will crank. once it starts it runs fine. If it stays off for 10-20 min, or more than an hour it will start right up. Someone please help.

Please tell us what, if any, maintenance or repair work has been done on the engine over the past 20k miles or so. Filters, plugs, sensors, oil, etc.

you are going to have to do some diagnostics to figure out what isn't happening when its not starting. Do you have spark? fuel? Those would be the first things to figure out to see what could be the cause.
