After over two weeks of multiple searches, comparing products, calling vendors and viewing every page of the "Lift & Tire" thread I think I've come up with a game plan. 99.9% of my driving is paved and the rest is dirt roads/established tracks, nothing hardcore at all. I need new tires soon and the shocks are eight years old so I figured do it all at once. That being said, I want to do it once AND right.
I like the Daystar 2.5/1.5 lift look, but figured I'd do it with new suspension hardware instead.
The 4R is a Limited V8 with 18s, but I have a set of 2012 17" Trail wheels that take care of a possible control arm rubbing problem (?) with a 15mm offset. I believe I'll get Cooper AT3 265/70/17s.
Front - Bilstein 5100s set at 0 with Toytec 2.5 coils.
Rear - Bilstein 5100s with Sway-A-Way 1.5 coils.
No external hardware (ie:bumper, winch) and none planned.
I had Bilsteins on my last truck (see sig) and for the most part like them. A little harsh on slower bumps.
How does this sound? Anything I've missed?
What, if anything, needs to be done to the swaybars? I don't want to remove them.
Thank you for your input!:hail:
