Cross Country Towing

Hey yall,
So next Monday we will be taking a voyage across country. Just me the G/F the two dogs and 8 fish..... yes it going to be pain in the "A". We will be towing a 6x12 Uhaul behind the rig so I was curious if anybody has any suggestions as far as towing goes. Should I go with a brake controller? We are not taking much in the 6x12 just the bare essentials to get us through at our new home for a couple weeks before all our household goods get there. I already have the trans cooler on my V8 so I should be fine there. I just replaced all the plugs, did a trans and coolant flush about 2K ago, re-bled all the brakes 2K ago. Anything else yall can think of to do before we get on the road?

We will post pics of our journey!!! Thanks in advance for any help.

You'll be fine. I towed the same trailer fully loaded and had no problems maintaining 80 on any and all hills.

Trailer has hydraulic surge brakes.

Yeah thats why I went with the 6x12. I initially was going with a 5x8 but swapped it out just for that reason
