Hello Toyota fans,
I am new in this forum, I am writing you from Peru-Southamerica, and I want to thank you to let me be part of it. I want to share with you my last video.
In this video I show part of our fishing trip back that we do since the last two fishing seasons when we go fishing.
Instead to do again the transversal cross from the coast, through the desert to reach the highway. We tried to go back parallel to the coast for about 40 miles of beautiful shores where we can have the chance to keep fishing before to cross the desert again. To do so, we need to cross a large dune.
In the video, you can see us when we are crossing this challenging dune with two Toyota SUVs: a 4Runner and a Fortuner. Also, you will enjoy a lot all the landscapes' beauty and wonder of the Peruvian coast where I go for fishing.
The dune's name is "The Beyond Dune" or in spanish “Duna del más Allá”. It is located in a place called "Punta Azua" near to our fishing hut, in the middle of nowhere.
Due the strong winds that comes from the southeast, the dune is always changing, and the sand creates many traps and vertical cuts in the sand, where is very easy to fall down while you are crossing it --if you don’t know well the way you can suffer major difficulties--.
Please forgive me, in the video I wrote down that the dune has 180’ high instead 280’, but actually I was wrong. The dune has more than 340’ of sand from the base where you begin to go up.
Something else to remark, this dune was one of the hot points in the last Dakar Rally Race, which took place in January 2012 from Argentina, then Chile, and finally to Peru.
Finally, this time I use music made by my beloved Nephews, in order to avoid copyrights blockings from Sony or other Cos. Their band’s name is VEGASONICA. I hope you will like the music and the video.
