Crunching sound from rear brakes?!?

hi all,

Tonight while comeing home from eating a dog ran out infront of me while going threw my neighborhood. When i slammed on the breaks (btw i have NO idea how i did not hit the dog, it was just a few feet in front of me when it ran out) all was fine, however, as the tuck came to a complete stop the rear breaks sounded like the were smashings rocks on each other!

I was thinkg ok maybe thats how the breaks on the T4R work under lots of pressure (being i just bought my first T4R) however before pulling into my drive i did a few hardish breaks. And that sound kept happening just as the truck was comeing to the complete stop!

Anyone have this happen or know what is going on?

Ill look into the ABS issues online see what some symtonms R. However, I did have two people say either its maybe air in my lines or he pads them selves could just be loose.

What gets me is that fact the truck stops fine and there is no shutter in my foot from the peddel and no shacking in my hands from the steering wheel.

I did notice today when stopping at a red light today while slowing down at a constaint pace felt like the brakes stopped grabbing then grabbed extra hard right after. Im a big beliver that tires and breaks is a place where its ok to spend alot of money.

Think i may get a high perfomance break.
