I would reuse my originals before trying a parts store part. Why do they need replacing?

Crush washer mystery
Some one explain the crazy to me please???? What is the big secret with finding info about and the proper crush washers for the fuel rails? OMG!!! These are a very cheap items that can be bought generically by the hundreds for nothing.Try finding these which should be changed like all once use gaskets----TOYOTA FUEL RAIL CRUSH WASHER 90430-12026. I am trying to replace plugs and injectors on my 99 4runner 6cyl and want to replace all the proper gaskets and finding these at parts stores or online is become an insane giant waste of time for a few aluminum washers. Really what is the problem? And the generic washers you find online never have any specs to compare anything. The original is a 12mm( 7/16") id and 17mm od. Trying to look it up at Toyota is like bashing your head against the wall. The corp. parts store guys can't even find them in their computers when you finally get through to them what you are looking for with the help of other experienced customers AND photos of the assembly. Staying calm but wondering why you are still watching someone stare at a computer as the day vanishes. Wanted to get this done in one day,,HA!. only thing i can find that comes up with the actual name and part # is the real thing is at Yota and they want $3 per washer and wait for days. Robbery at TOYOTA FUEL RAIL CRUSH WASHER 90430-12026

Plugs, wires, injectors, intake gaskets, but No on the crush washers, and no one has an explanation to why they are so hard to find and expensive .

They're pretty clearly labeled on the toyota parts diagram? You've got the part number, what's the issue?
You shouldn't need new washers to change out the injectors anyhow if you just lift off the rail assembly as one unit. If you think the washers are expensive, wait until you price out all the individual injector grommets and orings!

Thanks for response.
My Excellent mechanic is doing a bit more than I mentioned and he says he needs them and he ALWAYS uses NEW gaskets, seals, etc. But the point is this is the kind of very simple thing toyota shop should have a bucket of and finding a reasonable facsimile should be a super easy task. Its a washer. It must be used in many years and models in many places. Its there, they just cant find them I think. They cant even agree on what they are or called.
The "problems" are-
1# auto zone, Advanced, Napa cant even find Crush washers in their systems nor with the Full description with parts number.
2# Toyota has almost the same problem when you call. And isn't exactly sure about what they can order, if correct $2 per washer. "You should come in with one",,And so, I have to drive to Toyota, bring one with me, to order personally with Credit card and then wait for them and return to pick up a few washers that in total weight about the same as a penny.
3# My truck is disassembled in my mechanics garage for 2 days already.
4# Time running around, gas, Vehicle down time, frustration, time searching online, headache.
OH, whoah to us old timers that use to go into our local parts store owned by a neighbor, they had a race team, etc. and didn't need a computer to loose your parts. Sometimes they didnt even need the book to walk back and pull your parts. 3 or 4 generations of Knowledge behind the counter. If they couldn't find EXACT part they would spill a handful of washers on the counter and say "this is the same damn thing, gimme $2. Those guy are in Fla or dead. Hopefully in Heaven.

At the second toyota dealership I called the guy actually went looking in back and came back with 4, he said. I Then headed out south several miles to harbor freight for a $5 box of generic copper crush washers, 80 count. There where 10 in the box that would do the job. then drove back north and kept going another 10 north to Flemington Toyota I stop there and suddenly a complete package of six appeared and for the grand total of $11 and change . TADA! Thank you! Proud of my success I arrived at my mechanics house only to find he had finish the truck using copper after all which he open up the ID to make fit perfectly. LOL
Well, the whole gang of us has old 4runners, someone will need them and won't have to order them .:girl::girl::girl::girl:

Save this site. Not sure why a Toyota parts counterman can't find a part#. Lazy me thinks. Conicelli Toyota isn't TOO far from you and they have A LOT of parts if you needed them right away.

You aren't suppose to reuse crush washers because they act like a gasket when tightened down and will typically leak if you do. I tried once on my power steering banjo fitting and had a small drip so I got new ones and it solved the problem.
Copper washers on aluminum...isn't that bad? Corrosion issues.
