cup holder vs e-brake

just swapped out 2000 2WD for a 97 4WD,sure miss my cup holders! if there was some way to remote the e-brake handle,or even make it removable,problem solved. anyone considered this route??

Get the console, e brake lever and mounting bracket from a 99+ and its a drop in swap apart from moving the window switch.
