Custom front bumper build

With PATCO's help we built a custom bumper for the runner. I had an Outdoor logic bumper and got bored, so I tried something a little different. I installed a shorter radiator a couple month back to get the skid tucked up as far as I could. Ended up cutting the frame back a couple inches too. To finish it off, I need to make a small skid to tie the savage skid to the new front bumper just under the front diff.

Very nice. The TT valence material isn't something you see on 4runners often, but I like the angles you used to make it look like a low pro plate bumper.

Nice execution!

What purpose do the little clear LEDs serve? I have a few and I can't see them putting out enough light for any driving purposes other than maybe crawling at night.

Those are actually countersunk fasteners in black aluminum washers. I have to admit they do look like small led's though. Led's might be a good idea!

That's super awesome! Baja/prerunner style with the keeping stock look too. Excellent execution!

What did you do with your ODL bumper!?

You and PATCO make some awesome stuff. I really like you guys' utilization of the dimple die- looks cool!

What size of dimple die did you use on the top? I'm thinking of doing a similar stock appearance bumper and want to use a dimple die for the design. Kind of like the picture.

What radiator did you use? I want a very similar bumper built and running a smaller radiator to make the skid plate less vertical would be awesome but all my prerunner friends with 3.4L Tacoma / 4runner or 3.4L swaps say using anything other than stock will result in issues.

Any more pictures of how the radiator is mounted? Does the A/C condenser fit behind it nicely as well?

That looks amazing! Looking to do a custom bumper build here in the near future and I like yours is mounted. I might try to do something similar, albeit much less attractive looking, I'm sure.

The top plate was done with a 1 1/2" dimple if I remember correctly. I did something similar with my stock bumper a long time ago. I think I used a 2" dimple on it.

The radiator is out of a 2000 Tacoma 4 cylinder. It uses all of the same mounts. I haven't had any issues. Since it's a little shorter you can't use the lower shroud without cutting it up. I also don't pull anything with my 4Runner, so I don't know how it would work with a trailer behind it.
When I changed the radiator I drained the old radiator and used the same fluid to fill the new radiator and I had maybe 3/4 to 1 quart left over. It's the same width and depth, just a bit shorter.
