Custom sticker

Does anyone know a way to make a custom sticker. I want one like my avatar, I tried to do it on my computer. I matched the color of my truck (galactic grey mica) pretty closely and printed it out on avery sticky paper, but it turned out like crapola. I need a heavier duty vinyl. Any insights out there?:confused:

I think there are websites that will make custom stickers. I can't remember any of them but I know they are out there. I would google it and see what you get.
 
I know that were i live there are local graphics and custom paint shops that make a lot of things and they have a sticker machine. Some i know of you have to make a minimum b/c the sheets are so big they dont want to waste. so check into some local custom paint, or even a local print company or advertising place. Not sure just some suggestions. Good luck though. O by tha way thats a bad ass pic. I asume your a skiier? Me also. Hard to get to the mountains though living in houston now :( i used to live in denver. missing that right now. Once again good luck dude
 
Thankx 4Runna, the pic is actually from a t-shirt I got while in Whistler/Blackomb. That place is unreal for skiing, I think the best in the americas. My buddies and I have been skiing for 20+ years, we went to the top of the mountain and went all the way down, non-stop, and it took 45 min. of hard skiing from top to bottom. There is an awsome silk screening shop in the village there. I scanned it in and played with photoshop to get the color I wanted. Thanks again for the advice, I will look around locally and see if there is someplace that can do it. Should be, L.A. is big enough. If you want I can send you the file to play with.:)

Thanks to KNOBmeister, finally got a chance to wash and put on the sticker. Looks good, the check is in the mail.

Wow! I'll echo your sentiments.....this forum rocks! That was really quick turn around, from you asking the question to having a nice sticker on the window. I'm impressed. I don't like stickers too much, but that looks pretty nice. How is it holding up to rolling the window up and down? Now I need to contemplate what type of sticker I'd like to slap on mine. Your black tails look great too.
 
Thanx Luxury, the sticker is holding up well. The window pulls slightly away from seal when rolling down. I was debating whether to put it on myself, I was hoping for a color that was closer to my paint color (Galactic Grey), this is a silver with metallic chips in it, so it goes well with the rear badges and valor tip, I think.
