That looks very good! I actually went to a local audio store here in Utah today and talked to them about doing a custom job on mine cause I want to still be able to use my cargo area. Everything all said and done I was looking at like $2000. But I'm not sure if it would have been quite as compact as yours. He was talking about doing the custom box so that it would also hold the amp, but looking at yours, thats not a bad idea to have it mounted on the other side.

archangel37 - Your install looks fantastic! I am looking o do something similar with my sub. Do you know how the sub enclosure is held in place in that panel?

Also, did the installer have to cut out the inner portion of the storage compartment?

Did they leave any ports/vents in the sub enclosure?

That is a nice set-up. I particularly like the tweety pods & sub enclosure. And really no loss of cargo space. I use the hell out of my cargo area, so I'd have to do something similar.

Did the installer use vinyl over the amp mount? Just curious. Looks good. They did a good job hiding wires too. Post more pics when you get a chance. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like more inspiration.

I love This install but a few questions come in mind as $ savers:

The custom spot for the tweeters look amazing, but the door already has a tweet spot why not just build a bracket in their at 3/4 the cost to build that spot?

I LOVE the spot for the sub and their work, but how much air flow they got going on in there? It doesn't seem like allot, you might have been able to get something cheaper to fix in that volume that could hit harder due to correct box volume.

HEY I suck at fiber glass - wish I can do it at that Scale.

the guy has 3 way speakers, hertz hsk 163 is 3 way, im sure the mid is in the stock tweeter hole, mid bass is in the bottom and thats why the tweeter is in the a pillars.

I saw that but in the picture I saw a grill in the trunk and figured his 3 way was in the back and the 2 way in the front. Which didnt make allot of sense.

Reading through the thread I didn't see any specs on the amount of airspace the sub enclosure is providing...(I know this is an old thread...Archangel37 you still here?, and by chance did the installer ever happen to mention how much airspace?)

I plan on building a similar type of enclosure this summer for a JL10w6 version 1.

I know this is an old thread. But I happen to come upon this and really like the clean box. Does he still make these boxes? If not, would you post specs?
