Custom Subs

Hey guys,

I've been searching the internet all day and need some help from yall. I'm wanting to put two 10's in the back of a 4th gen in right behind the second row seats in the corners of the floor (maybe even the corners of the plastic compartments. I'm pretty handy when it comes to this kind of work and will be fiberglassing them in.

If yall have any pictures of something like this PLEASE post them up.

Second do yall know of any places that sell OEM color vinyl paint? does NAPA carry this?

There have not been very many custom fabbed fiberglass boxes posted, there was one posted a while back but it was just a link to an e-bay ad of someone else's truck.

I plan myself to make one, when ever I recieve the sub I ordered a month ago. I plan on using the space where the stock sub would be for the amp rack & componet cross-over's. Then fiberglass a box for a 12'' along the passenger side wall. There just really isn't any extra space to hide anything anywhere else, while still keeping the 4Runner's usable storage space in the rear.

I plan on getting some paint made up to match the interior stone color. I don't think the interior color is a pre-made orderable item. Any auto-body paint supply place will be able to accomplish this.

Couldn't you use vinyl to cover the fiberglass?

yeah but for more complex curves its harder to get it to fit properly

That's true. I've seen some awesome pieces that were covered with vinyl.
