CV axle pros needed.

So I posted earlier about my CV axle going making a grinding noise. but now I need help from someone with experience to tell me if the mechanic did in-fact install the CV axle wrong.

when i took the CV axle out there were 2 circular washer things. Not sure which way they were before i took it out because one fell off but i believe they were pointing in the same direction (not sure) Is this how its supposed to be? If so I need to replace one because there is a significant gash in one of them. Not from me i dont believe as I didn't jab my flat head in there. I simply pryed at an angle.

Yea, your mechanic goofed up. There's only supposed to be one on there. It is the dust cover for the oil seal in the differential. The dust seal should face out too, like the lower one in your pic.

Don't forget to locktite those LBJ bolts!

Blue locktited them. Or atleast 3 and a half. I ran out of locktite. I can always back it out and locktite it. In addition to not putting the CV axle in correctly I dont believe the mechanic put any locktite on the screws. Didnt look like it at least.
