CV axle replacement

OK so i have the factory service manual and it says to release the bottom suspension arm to free but is there and easier way, are you able to pull the top a arm and do it that way.

I believe most people just invert the bottle jack under the fender well and use that to very slightly compress the a arms down

undo the big nut then unbolt the 4 lower spindle bolts pull it towards you give it a few taps with a rubber mallet the hardest part is getting the c clip to release
