Opinion:
Just replaced both CV axles with OEM remanned cv's.

3k miles later, my inner boot has failed on the left side.

Should I:

1)reboot my newly torn inner cv boot with a new OEM boot & grease from the amazon kit Robot Check

2)Order a new CVJ CV axle w/ extended/stronger red silicone inner boot and keep the other for future rebuild/trail spare
CVJ Axles - CV Axles & Steering Racks for all your needs

3)reboot my torn boot with allpro extended boot kit https://www.allprooffroad.com/9504frontsuspension/282
** is this the right kit? I was unable to find a boot kit for the inner boot.

After I lifted my rig my driver side gave way. I upgraded to CVJ axles for full time use. They have been great. It was around $480 for 2 the way I got them set up with the most durable boots.

That's not a lot of miles on a new boot. I'm driving mine with a fusion tape repair that's holding up really good. See this link: Fusion Tape Repair

As for your answer to your question. Currently, there's really no solid evidence that proves one option better than another. See the thread I started on this a while ago. There's some good reading. Replace Axles with OEM boots or Extended Boots.

I'm almost finished with my axles so I will be the "guinea pig" so-to-speak on the two brands of extended boots. Here's a link to what the new boots look like. New Boots

In retrospect I think I would go with OEM and stretch. Only time will tell. I'm hoping I don't have to report on these for at least 100K miles after installed!! I'm going to keep a log in my build thread and keep it updated.
