CV Boot Replacement

I put a lift on my '97 Limited 2 weekends ago. I checked this weekend and I see my passenger side CV boot is now leaking grease a bit so I am going to have to replace it.

Anyone know of a good write-up on doing this? I tried to search for "cv boot" and "cv joint" but the system keeps telling me my search string must be atleast 3 characters long.

BTW - I did put a diff drop on when I installed the lift kit.

if its not leaking too bad and the boot isn't torn through you can just put on a heavier duty hose clamp around it to seal it off. I had the same problem with a little grease leakage after I installed my lift. Put some the clamps on and the problem was solved. Some people may say thats the cheap easy fix route but it works fine imo. I've had mine like that for a couple months now with moderate 4x4 use and no problems.

As nquaint said, it may just be a clamp if the boot isn't torn. Check for the link I posted in the "DIY Mod" sticky thread under the General Discussion forum to my write-up. It's a simple, but possibly messy, fix.
