cv boot rip

I've installed a 2.5 inch rev tek lift kit and both the cv boots in front have ripped twice. I hope it's not from the kit and I have not done any offroading. Anyone have the same problems?

Could not tell you if it is from the lift but I can tell you the boots ripping twice is not normal unless you have a 200-300K on your truck.

So I would have to think it might somehow.

I talked to a guy at 4crawler.com and he said the max suspension lift you should do with 3rd generation runner is 2 inches in the front unless you drop the differential. I'm still pissed because I see so many guys out there with the same lift but don't have the same problems. Evidently 3" lift puts undue stress on the cv arms at least the boots anyway.

I used to live in KOP PA. How's it out there. It's been 3 years since I've been back.

Make sense at least you know the problem.

Nice and quiet out here in PA the way I like it.

We are getting ready for 6-12 in of the white stuff Sat-Sun
Let the fun begin:D

That's cool. I miss the snow sometimes but at least I'm only 90 minutes from Tahoe, CA. When I was in PA I had an Integra. Didn't handle the snow as well as my runner. I hoping to get my rig in shape for the rubicon this summer. I guess we'll see how the progress goes and my bank account.
