So I cleaned out my inner CV joint since water got in there and turned it to milkshake. I repacked the joint with 6ozs of grease for each side. I also lubed my driveshafts, and around the same time put on new 5100 shocks in the front. Ever since then I have been getting a vibration through the steering wheel, shifter, and gas pedal. I took it to my mechanic to have some other work done, and he pulled the driveshaft (rear for sure, unknown about the front) and cleaned it out since I overlubed it (never had that happen before, and I have been greasing them the same way for 100K miles). It helped out A LOT, however I still have a vibration. Could there be too much grease in the CV joint that is causing it? It isnt coming from my engine as I can rev it up with it not in gear and there are no issues. It is only when I am moving. Could it also be too much lube in the front drive shaft even though it isnt engaged (when it is in 4wd there is no difference)? I dont know if he pulled that one. He seems to think that the tires out of balance (maybe out of round), but I have had them balanced twice and still no change. I cant find anyone around me that does the Roadforce balancing.
