I have a 2000 4 cylinder and the #2 cylinder spark plugs keep failing. I get about 1500 miles out of the plug and then I get really bad hesitation around 2,000 RPM. I switch out the plug and it works fine after that. Only happens in the one cylinder. Any ideas? I have replaced the seals around the plug tubes and still have the issue.

Try replacing the spark plug wires if they are original.

My engine has coil packs. I have already changed those out as well.
I will take a picture when I get home tonight.

Could be the coil pack maybe.
Already replaced that and also tried swapping them. Putting a new spark plug in seems to fix it. Are you thinking the coil pack is causing the spark plug to go bad?

Move the coil to another cylinder and see if it fails that plug. If the same plug is failing maybe its a cylinder issue. Leakdown and compression can give you more insight maybe.

I would do a compression test on that cylinder and compare those numbers to the other cylinders on that bank.
It still looks like you have some kind of leak from the spark plug tubes since there is burnt oil on the body of the plug. I'm not convinced that would make the plug go bad though. One of my plugs is covered in oil all the time (my valve covers are leaking in multiple areas) and my plugs are fine and it runs perfect.
Are you torquing the plugs to spec?

I gather that you think the plug is bad because you replace it and the problems go away? Instead of replacing the plug, swap it with the cylinder beside it (on a different coil pack) and see what happens.....

Yea, move the plug, spark plug wire, or coil around (if you can on the 4 cylinder) and see if problem follows any of the parts.

The plug tip and electrode look decent, but based on the fouling and staining on the threads and hex I'd say it was possibly cross threaded and re-tapped at some point in it's life? Or wasn't tightened down enough and is leaking. Do you use antisieze on the plug threads?
I would also suggest a compression test of all cylinders to get a compression profile of the engine. Each cylinder in a 4-banger is 25% of your total power/performance/economy
