"D" Drive light out

can anyone provide me feedback on how to replace the bulb or LED light in the speedometer console for the "D" background light?

I'm going to keep an eye on this. My "D" isn't burnt out yet...but is much dimmer than the rest of my lettering. I'm assuming its on its way out...

They dim the "D" because thats the gear your in the most and at night you don't want a bright green "D" blaring you in the face.
Too bad they didn't dim the "o/d and ECT" lights while they are on too!? They are bright while driving at night!!

To the OP, while you have the cluster out, you should try to change all of them. Because you know as soon as you put it back in another bulb will blow on you

interesting... mine's been burned out since I got it, but I didn't wanna be blinded at night while driving so I just left it. may look into replacing it now.

Those little bulbs can be spendy...

I dont know your truck specs, but on mine when it burnt out, I simply replaced the "D" bulb with the bulb for what is normally suppose to be the "RR Diff Lock". Since I don't have the factory locker, that bulb was never going to light up anyway...
