Dark Tiger,

I see you have the Scion XB radio, do you have the leather wrapped steering wheel with thumb controls? If so does your thumb controls work with the scion radio? I've got a brand new amp and sub for the Runner but I don't know if the standard radio has preamp RCA jacks on it but I know the Scion one does, I want a stock looking radio, but also want to maintain the steering wheel controls. Just thought I would ask.

Thanks,

Trevor

Yes the steering wheel control works flawlessly. In fact it works better than the original headunit. The orginal headunit when you push the channels up and down, all it did was move the frequency up and down. The Scion moves radio to your presets. This is one of the best things you can do to your runner, fits perfectly and you lose no steering wheel controls. Plus feel mode on the scion headunit rules.

My 4R steering wheel controls moves the radio to my presets, not frequency. Maybe there is a setting or something, but mine has always done that.

Hold it down until it beeps for scan to the next station. And to keep scanning this way just keep pressing and holding until you hear the beep.

Scion Xb Pioneer is a great upgrade. I added Polk Audio DB series front and rear and it made an incredible difference.

Where

Where's the best place to get one, I'm checking forums now and will start scanning ebay, where would you guys recommend?

Thanks,

Thanks

Thanks, but after looking it is not exactly what I want, I want the preamp outputs for my amp and stuff and it doesn't include it, I wonder if toyota makes it included in the wiring stock because I know they add subs as an offer, wonder how they run it. I've taped into the lines with RCA converters but the system doesn't balance out that way and sounds like crap. I'll look into it more wit hthe audio guys at toyota andl et you guys know. As for now, I'm really liking the Pioneer double din unit in silver, and the Clarion unit in silver that has everything, and found the converter for 68 bucks to use the steering wheel controls along withe the stereo's remote. The silver on the head units also match the trim in my Runner so I'm thinking about laying out 400 bucks for one:( Thats a good chunk, oh well, the wife doesn't want an intake yet so I guess I can justify the deck. Thanks again guys.
