Dash/ac lights

I replaced the little bulb behind the heater controls on my 92 runner and that is working fine. Was testing the a/c button to see if it was still working and now it won't turn on, the green light will not light up. It is very cold here today, around 15. Would that be causing the a/c to not kick on ?

Thought that was probably the case, any idea's on to why the green light wouldn't be working ? It had been working fine the last time I used it several months ago. Possible bad switch ?

Start by checking for a blown fuse.

I hate that answer. Like I didn't already check it. But then again, Usually I forget to check the fuses and feel kinda dumb.

Seriously, could be a lot of things, bad switch, fuse, loose wire, A/C is toast. Just need to put on yer thinking cap and dig in checking stuff off the list.

All fuses are good, I will try and get another switch and try that. If it is not that it will have to wait until warmer weather. Like I said it was working great when I last used it, so I can't think that it is anything serious I hope.

Fan runs fine, when I push the a/c button in the green light does not come on and I can't hear anything engaging under the hood.

Got a different switch and now I am getting the green light, but still can't hear anything kicking on under the hood. Might be as simple as a recharge, but don't think I will worry about it till next spring, 5 degrees here today with snow !

I just saw that my light for the temp controls went out. Was it hard to replace? and what kind of bulb was it and where did you just get it from the dealer?
Thanks

Skyfox, in my 88 it is really easy to change. I just pull the caps of all the sliders, gently pry off the cover around the edge of the entire cover and it will pop out.
any of the car parts places, NAPA Auto Zone etc will have this bulb.
