Dash board question

Hello all new to 4runners . I am looking at a 1998-2002 4wd 4Runner . I noticed on the dash between the tach and speedometer on some models there is a box with what looks like 4 wheels . What does this signify ? I am loookng for the center locking diff model is that the symbol ? Thank you In advance

That’s just the 4x4 indicator on the newer models, the ones with center diff lock will either have a button with 4 wheels and an x in the middle for the newer ones, or for the older ones it has a standard J shifter with the button on the side of the handle, not to be confused with the 2 position shifter that has the button on the handle
