Dash cracking?

anyone else have any problems with dash cracks? I have an 03 sr5 with 50k and the dash is cracked in numerous places, its getting worse, Ive owned the truck since 5 miles, always kept it clean and had a sunshade on when not in use.


went to toyota about it they said they would only give $500 to the price of a new dash, $2500..

anyone else having similar problems?

seems to happen to early model 4th gens...nothing you can do, and imo, patching it will look worse.

yeah mine is really bad and getting worse... one goes from the very left part of the dash near the drivers door, over the gauge cluster and ends above the radio, and I have numerous ones above the glove compartment, and just noticed some along the edges of the dash near the A pillars on both sides... They never showed up until my bumper to bumper warrantee expired (as of yesterday my powertrain warrantee is expired as well)

anyways the cracks have gotten wider since they started... I know people say they will look worse if they are repaired, but I am thinking about trying to have them repaired, seeing the tan foam thru the cracks is not too classy...

What protectant did you use?

I have never used any protectant like armor all or anything... It originally occurred after being parked in FL from early June-late September/early October, but I was using a windshield cover and car cover so I don't understand how it managed to be so bad...

I have brought it up a few times on here but never posted pics, I will do that soon, maybe everyone else will quit whining about thier little hardly noticeable cracks (I have a few of those).
