Awe man... Wish I could go. Bobby and I were just talking about getting up there some time. I drove halfway there Friday to go to court for a speeding ticket... Almost made the extra drive just to check it out, but I was rolling solo.

Charlotte Dirt Roads?
I see a few CLT folks on here, that's awesome. Been looking around for some local dirt roads to turn some mud in and didn't know if yall knew of anywhere close by that wouldn't be considered trespassing?
Here's one I've been interested in exploring: I drive I-77N towards Huntersville and it looks like on the North side (outside) of 485, South of Gilead Rd (exit 23) there are some dirt trails under the power lines on the West side of I-77. Ever been over to check them out? Looking from Google Earth and Satellite views it looks like they may be open and not restricted, but I haven't actually looked yet.
I constantly find myself looking under every power line set I drive under to see if there's some place to use the 4wd more often...
Any thoughts?

It's under a power line it is more than likely illegal.
the only places I know of that are legal in the area are; uwharrie, flats, dpg, hurricane creek, richlands, the farm, black MTN, and FS roads. I'm sure there are others, but where you are describing sound illegal.

So we plan to camp on old Nc 105. This weekend, any certain spot that are nicer than others.
