Forest Roads Exploration?

I've got a stock 4wd but interested in exploring some forest service roads. Any one else interested? Probably a couple weekends from now/before thanksgiving.

I'll go. You know of any forest service roads? I ran Richland road a couple weekends ago. It was pretty nice. A bit of a drive to get there though.

Nothing specific in mind.. Just found out of a couple work trips, so this might have to get pushed out some... Where in SC are you coming from? I'm just north of CLT.

Yeah I feel ya. I'm flying to Orlando for work next week as well. I'm just South of Charlotte on Lake Wylie.

Lets try to get a decent ride together here in the next month or two. Its a pretty easy trail so even the lesser modified can join in. If we're lucky there might be some snow on the ground too!

I've heard of hurricane creek, its near Ashville correct?
I heard it was ''leveled out" recently so it's not much more than a dirt road now. Any truth to that?

I'm open. I was on Hurricane about 2 years ago, It was still rocky and wet with some big mud holes and steep hill climbs you can try. It has one pretty technical area. The top comes out at Max Patch where the App Trail crosses. I was at Max Patch last year after Hurricane Sandy left over a foot of snow last year. Mucho fun...

I think they bulldozed and smoothed most of HC in june or july. The off shoots got large dirt piles built up to keep people on the main rd. I'll try to see if I can find where I saw that posted.
