Daystar 1.5 rear lift

Was thinking about adding the 1.5 rear lift to help with the sag.

Will it affect the ride? I have read it makes it better as well as worse.

Have front / Rear Daystar. Excellent. Have the same lift as 5100 Bilsteins all around / OME Coils rear. Go for it!

I ran 1.5" rear daystar spacers and 1" front spacers both with stock springs for a while and eventually replaced the rear springs with OME 890s with extended ProComp shocks and the fronts with 4WD OEM coils and Tundra Bilstien shocks

I think it has better handling and ride now. The Daystars were a crutch, and did help with the rear sag but they didn't help the old springs perform getter.

I have a 1997 SR5 and I put 1.5 Daystars with Skyjacker shocks on and it's been great. We haven't tested it yet with it's intended load (two Yakima Roof Boxes, 2 humans, 2 dogs, camping gear). The front is stock height. I like it. No issues on handling or anything that we've come across.

I have the 2.5” Daystar kit (front and back) and I have been very pleased. The kit allows me to run my 285/75/16 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs. I also have a 1” body lift.

Eventually I’ll replace the Daystar kit with a good suspension lift (hopefully Kings), but in the meantime I’m happy with the Daystars. I don’t plan to have more than a 2.5” suspension lift.

I have the 1.5 Daystars and they seem to work fine for adding some high in the rear.

However, I would recommend replacing the saggy rear springs while you are doing the spacers. I'm using AC Delco rear springs from RockAuto like $40 for the pair. I've been running them for about two months or so and no problems so far.

If you just do the spacers I think your springs will continue to sag and get worse over time.
