Daystar Design changes

Something else to consider when going the Daystar route. Bulldog over at toyota120 explained this to me. The stock strut is the same length as it was, but now is 3" longer because of the spacer. The maximum downward travel therefor is now 3" further than it was. This makes the upper A arm drop down further than it normally would and contact the coil spring.

It's not a problem for normal driving as it would never flex down this much. It's probably not a problem for light/moderate off roading if all I'm doing is slow crawling with the occasional maximum wheel droop. If you're doing harder off roading and the front wheels are hitting maximum droop a lot, it might eventually damage the joint connecting the A-arm to the spindle. I don't plan on hitting jumps at 50mph to suddenly drop all that weight on the suspension though.

I might do Oldman Emu suspension kit after a few years, but for now this will work fine for my needs. Especially since I'm not adding a front bumper or winch or a lot of weight in accessories.
